Heights Blvd. Art-on Display Again
Heights Blvd. Art
Art can be seen all over the Heights. It is found in yards and galleries in the area. For the 4th consecutive year, Heights Blvd. art makes an appearance.
This year’s Art Trek again shows us why we love the Heights. Just walk down Heights Boulevard and enjoy the large pieces on exhibit until December of this year. Previous exhibits were Trail of Art, 2016; True South, 2015; and the original True North, 2014.
Redbud Gallery’s Gus Kopriva and artist Chris Silkwood have been curators and driving force making this happen. Next year they plan on passing the torch to the Houston Heights Association to continue it.

Mollusca – by Jon Clark

Texas Horny Toad – by Dylan Connor

Above Muddy Water – by Randall Mosman
There are 8 pieces on exhibit for you to walk by or bring your kids for art that can be touched. I just showed 3. I did not photograph Humpty Dumpty in a dress because it creeps me out. You must visit it yourself.
This exhibit runs through December of 2017. It is between 18th St, down to 4th St, on Heights Blvd.
The art will be on sale at the end of the exhibit with 20% of the proceeds going to fund future projects.
