Our Woodland Heights neighborhood struts its stuff for the city with six homes featured Saturday and Sunday, March 26-27, from 1 to 6 p.m. each day. Come visit an eclectic mix of historic homes at the Woodland Heights Home Tour. Two of the six homes on the tour are shown here.

Tickets are $15 in advance, starting Feb. 1 online and March 1 also at area merchants. On March 23, ticket prices increase to $20 so buy early and save! (Online-purchased tickets will be available for pick-up home tour weekend at the ticket booth at Woodland Park.)

New this year, a Preservation Fair featuring vendors and demonstrations on home restoration projects will be held at Woodland Park from 1 to 6 p.m. Sunday, March 27.

Your home tour ticket price includes admission to the Preservation Fair or tickets for the fair only can be purchased online or at the door for $5.

The fair is sponsored by WHCA Home Tour with Friends of Woodland Park, with proceeds benefiting the park.

The 2011 Houston Heights Home & Garden Tour will be held on Saturday and Sunday, April 2 and 3, 2011, from noon to 6:00 PM each day and consists of six spectacular homes and gardens – four historic and two recent construction – each reflecting the unique character and architecture of our neighborhood. Also on the tour this year will be an opportunity to see the “before” version of Immanuel Lutheran Church – an historic structure which will soon be transformed into a community center for art exhibits, receptions, and community and youth programs.

Luxury bus shuttles to all of the homes, included in the price of your ticket, will be standing by at the Heights Fire Station at Yale & 12th Streets, where parking is available.

Advance tickets are $20 through April1 by cash or check at Another Place in Time, Buchanan’s Native Plants, Davis Hardware, Eclectic Home, Lovejoy’s Antiques, Waldo’s Coffee House, and Write Now! You may purchase tickets by credit card through noon on April 1 at Houston Heights Home Tour.
